------- Additional comments from [email protected] Mon Jul 13 08:57:40 +0000 2009 ------- I've looked for a similar issue by putting "calc slow" and "spreadsheet slow" in the search field, but I wasn't able to find anything related to version 3.x.x. In fact, the problem arouse after upgrading from version 2.4.2 to version 3.0.x and 3.1.x., which forced me to downgrade. It seems version 2.4.2 is not affected at all. I tested this on a Pentium-M 1.8 Ghz, and a AMD X2 2Ghz, both under Linux (I'm using gentoo, package openoffice-bin which is basically the Sun precompiled distribution) and Windows XP (the version that comes straight from the openoffice.org download center). Both the PCs have 1 GB RAM. The problem is: doing simple editing in calc files is painful. Insertion, deletion, editing of values has become moderately slow and it's very annoying with files beyond a certain size, like the one I'm going to post. I'm going to attach a sample file. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
