You use a wrong syntax. For to get an AND, you have to write the conditions in
the same row in the criteria area. It is allowed to have a column twice.
So use
Criterium
date date amount
>=1.1.2008 <=2.1.2008
and formula
=DSUM(A1:B5;"amount";A10:C11)
