------- Additional comments from [email protected] Sat Jul 18 06:20:52 +0000 2009 ------- I am a regular user in my university without admin privilege (the computers are aluminium 24" iMac with OS X 10.5.7), therefore after unzipping the openoffice .dmg image, I drag the application to: /Users/<user>/Applications/ within my home directory, rather than the usual system-space /Applications/ However when I attempt to start openoffice.org, it just exits silently. This behaviour certainly has a bad effect on openoffice uptake among Mac users.
