------- Additional comments from [email protected] Sun Jul 26 22:01:37 +0000 2009 ------- Prior to upgrading to OO3.1.0 OOO310m21 (Build:9319) Build 3.1.0.6 I had quite a few books laid out with numeric headings. Chapter 1 Farting in the Wind 1.1 Why People Fart in the Wind blah blah blah 1.2 How Much Wind Before It Matters? blah blah blah Chapter 2 Effects of Diet 2.1 What Diet Produces the Most Gas blah blah blah These files could easily switch between OO and Lotus Symphony. After I installed the update, I tried to open one of these files in OO. Everything "seemed" OK with the first chapter. When you got to the second chapter, that is when it became obvious you lost track of the numbering sequence. You also had a formatting problem which was limiting the second level display to a single digit. 1.1 and 1.10 both appear as 1.1 I can "fix" this in OO by manually changing each heading to regular text, then re-applying the corresponding heading. This is a lot of work and shouldn't "have" to be done with an "industry standard file format". Something in version 3.x changed how you handle/keep track of headings, and you are no longer compatible with older file formats. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
