Hyphenation DID work in general in Ooo 2.4.
However, this one got overlooked for a while and since OOo 3.0, the linguistic
stuff got changed to extensions. Thus it makes no sense to look after things
that went wrong in OOo 2.4 unless it is still a problem in current versions.
Feel free to set up a new issue based on OOo 3.1 or younger. Currently, OOo 3.2
code line is active. For latest builds, see here: download.openoffice.org.
