------- Additional comments from [email protected] Mon Jul 27 19:29:30 +0000 2009 ------- Expected Results: Expect spotlight index to be rebuilt in a timely manner, and for searches to work correctly. Actual Results: During rebuild, witness mdworker processes quitting and relaunching along with crashreporter writing out multiple instances of crashes over the course of 30 minutes. Did not recover on its own, and therefore does not create an index that is accurate or complete. Some searches fail to find files in plain sight. Regression: Crash log indicates something to do with the OpenOffice spotlight importer, OOoSpotlightImporter.mdimporter. Opened the package contents to find the import and tossed it alone into the trash. Problem resolved.
