------- Additional comments from [email protected] Thu Jul 30 01:50:44 +0000 2009 ------- Hey, Well, this issue has been annoying me for quite some time, and I was hoping that it would be fixed in newer version of Open Office, but it seems that it hasn't. Basically it is an issue with the copying and pasting implementation that causes Open Office (I've had it happen in Draw, Calc, and Writer) to freeze. It is not a completely hard freeze -- the application seems to be able to redraw the interface every so often, but you cannot close it, you cannot interact with it, and you have to force kill the application using the task manager (eg: end process of soffice.bin). Now this problem doesn't happen all the time. It happens sometimes copying to Open Office, it happens sometimes copying content within the same application (aka Writer, Draw or Calc), it happens sometimes copying content from Open Office to another application. There is no predictability of when it happens so far. This probably has been occurring on multiple Windows XP SP3 and Windows 7 RC1 machines (a combination of both 32 and 64bit). Java build 1.6.0_13-b03 32bit is being used on the machine I'm using at the moment (which the issue just happened on), but I think other version of java can cause the same problem. >From what I can think, it looks like the copy paste implementation is somehow getting into a dead lock like state. Anyway hope it's not too hard to find/fix and thanks for the Help, Mark --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
