No bug, but a feature.
Go to Tools > AutoCorrect Options > Options. With the item "apply border" you
can switch this feature on and off.
The created line is a bottom border of the paragraph above. Context menu (right
click) of that paragraph > Paragraph > tab Borders. Remove the border there.
