had the same problem on Linux with Canon Lide20 Scanner (only 50 dpi and 1200
dpi offered). problem seems to be that only the min and max resolution is set in
the resolution combo box when the scanner offers the setting of a random
resolution between min and max. best solution here would be to offer a slider
for setting the resolution (like xsane does in this case). For 3.2 I will
provide a patch that at least standard resolution will be offered in the combo
box.
