------- Additional comments from [email protected] Mon Aug 10 13:37:01 +0000 2009 ------- I think it makes sense that eventually people will stop using double space after these punctuation marks, but until that change is universally (and I do mean universally) accepted I think there needs to be an option that flips from one style to the other. I know there are teachers in high school and college that would mark down their students' papers for having only one space after a period. It would be great if we all used the metric system as well, but we don't. The right way to deal with this kind of situation is to allow for both styles. After all, openoffice.org does not require its users to use a4 paper instead of "letter," right? Similarly, regardless of how much sense it makes, it shouldn't autocorrect users' intended spacing style without giving them the option of using their preferred style. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
