------- Additional comments from [email protected] Fri Aug 14 04:23:38 +0000 2009 ------- I had a version of Open Office (version 2.4) installed on my computer and recently upgraded to version 3.1. I have been using the word processor and spell check for English (USA) does not work. It scans the document but always says that no errors where found, even when there were some. Here is some additional information that may be helpful in solving this problem: Under: Tools - Options - Language Settings - Languages All language selections = English(USA) Under: Tools - Options - Language Settings All dictionaries are selected When I click Tools - Spelling and Grammar the following occurs: A box labelled "Spelling:[None]" appears and all other fields are blank A message box appears over the bigger box and is labelled "OpenOffice 3.1" and it says "The spellcheck is complete" with an "OK" button. After pressing the "OK" button both boxes close. Also the box on the bottom is inaccessible and closes with the message box. However I used a test word "asdf" and activated the spell check it did not flag it. In fact, the spell checker appears to not fuction. I hope this issue is taken care of quickly, as a word processer without a spell checker is useless to me (I do not spell well - lol). In fact, I am considering going back to the previous version just so I have that fuction. I wish the project all of the success it richly deserves. Good luck, I wish the project --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
