Actually, a free extension for a world map is already available under
<<http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/eurooffice-chart-map>>.
More detailed maps for Europe and the US with subregions can be purchased under
<<http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/eurooffice-chart-map-professional>>.
So a new free chart type "maps" knowing all ISO 3166 regions would still be
desirable, however I
decreased the priority .
