I checked with "Ooo 3.1.0 WIN XP multilingual version German UI activated
[OOO310m11 (Build 9399)]" and it seems that I can confirm problems. But I must
admit that my knowledge concerning "INDIRECT" is rather poor.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open my attached "sample.ods" with a german OOo 3.1
'C16' contains the "working formula"
You will see result "63" in 'C16' and "#NAME?" in 'C17'
2. Now copy / paste the "not working formula" (without leading blank) from
'E20' to 'C17'
expected: should show the same result as 'C16'
actual: Error message, cell reference and "INDIRECT" modified to lower case
Some further test:
10. close sample document without saving.
11. Open sample document with an English OOo version and check formulas:
'C16': functions have been translated "SUM" and "INDIRECT" as expected
'C17': only SUMME translated to "SUM", "indirekt" has not been recognized
as a function.
It seems that the problem is that in "=SUM(F13:INDIRECT("F"&$B$8))" "INDIRECT"
will not be recognized as a math function. I can't see any reason why position
should matter, but as mentioned, my knowledge is to poor to decide that. So
"needhelp".

do not write something like „I am not able to ...“, but
„6. left mouse click on …
expected: …, color of … changes, …
actual: no …., color remains white, no …
For all your reports please contribute information concerning your OS and
Platform and additionally concerning your OOo localization!
