------- Additional comments from [email protected] Thu Sep 3 00:21:27 +0000 2009 ------- Hi, I recently upgraded to MacOS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). I have a calc document that I was using just prior to the upgrade. It is a small calc document that is just using the grid to lay some rough notes out - there isn't any calculation. The spreadsheet defaulted to using the Arial font when I created it (under MacOS 10.5). When I first went to view it under MacOS 10.6, it didn't display. By 'didn't display' I mean that all the normal window fixtures were ok - there were icons in the toolbar, there were lines in the spreadsheet window. However, the text in the spreadsheet boxes didn't display. It looked just like an empty spreadsheet. Except, the box at the bottom of the toolbar that shows the text in the currently selected box without any formatting - I saw the correct things displayed there. By selecting all and changing fonts I was able to get to the point where I could see the spreadsheet. Helvetica seems to display better than Arial. I've been looking into whether it is a font issue on my machine, but those fonts seem to work fine with other Apps, and they're the same fonts I used before upgrading to Snow Leopard. I'll attach a screenshot. The data in the spreadsheet is only rough :). Note that the selected entry should display the text "Algorithm" in the style of "Heading1". In this screenshot you'll note that the display problem is only affecting some cells - it seems to be intermittent. I've checked simple things like the font colour. In this screenshot it was set to 'Automatic'. Setting it to black white or red makes no difference. Neither does background colour. The Font dropdown menu also behaves strangely - some of the font names are not displayed. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
