Tried the steps mentioned below in Windows XP Professional SP3(2GB RAM), Vista home premium SP1(4GB RAM) and Mac OS 10.5.6 (4GB RAM). Used both the ppt in the attachment (chapt_02.ppt) and a different (sample.ppt) file to perform my tests. Test1: Load above ppts with Impress and saved as another file. Observation: Impress did not crash/freeze. Test2: Load both ppt files with impress, made changes in the files and did save as. Observation: Impress didnot crash/freeze. Test3: Made changes to both ppt files using using Microsoft PowerPoint 2007. Opened the ppt again with Impress and did save as. Observation: Did not crash/freeze Impress. Test4: Load the .ppt files with Impress and tried to do save as in different types (.odp, .otp, .odg, .ppt etc). Made changes to these file contents and saved as previously mentioned file types. Observation: Did not crash/freeze Impress. Test5: Opened applications like PDF documents, MS Word documents, Email, Notepad etc in the computer.
