Not the office is in an unstable state but the Microsoft Installer database (for
what reason ever). You can try to use the "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility"
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/) to remove this 3.0 entry and install
3.1 again. One workaround might be to reinstall the OOo 3.0 again before
installing 3.1.
