Found that after upgrading to Open Office 3.1, Writer often crashes on document
close and tries to do a recovery. Have now found something fairly simple that
may replicate the problem.

First, I don't know if this is related to the issue or not: I start Writer
directly (not through the OpenOffice.org menu). The first blank document that
appears has both a Writer Close X button in the upper right corner AND a
Document Close X button just below it. If I press CTRL+N repeatedly to open
several new documents, the Document Close button does not appear for any of
them. If I then select the first document from the Window menu, the Document
Close button for it has disappeared as well.

Second, to possibly reproduce the problem: Start Writer with no other
applications running. Use CTRL+N to create 10 or 20 new documents. Do NOT
edit any of them. Use the Window menu to select the first document again.
Press the Writer Close X button. Sometimes all the documents may close,
sometimes one document will close, sometimes the program may crash and try to
do document recovery on some or all of the new documents. If this does not
happen, try selecting and closing other documents at random. The whole process
may need to be repeated a few times before the crash and attempted document
recovery occurs.
