libdalp-2.4.so.2 you mean. Yes, it is. But that doesn't change the fact that .so
is only in libldap2-dev and not in the library package and to make dlopen()'ing
the .so-symlink work you need to install the -dev package. .so is (for properly
versioned shared libs) only needed when you build/link something against it, so
it's in -dev (amongst other reasons, like parallel installability of various
versions)

Always avoid trying to open .so, open the correct SONAME.
