------- Additional comments from [email protected] Sun Sep 20 17:58:05 +0000 2009 ------- The file locking is not working if you open a file stored on a Windows file server (not Samba) and access this file from MS-Office on Windows and OpenOffice.org on Linux in parallel. The file can be written from both systems without any error message any other message indicating that the file is opened by different users. The last write will win. All other changes made by the other are lost! * There is no difference if the file is first opened from the Windows system or the Linux system. * There is no difference if the file is last written from the Windows system or the Linux system. Infrastructure to reproduce: - Windows Server 2003 (hosting the files) - Windows XP with MS-Office - Linux with OpenOffice.org 3.1.1 (mouting the file share using the "nobrl" option) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
