------- Additional comments from [email protected] Tue Sep 22 09:30:17 +0000 2009 ------- In OpenOffice Writer, numbers seem to be "direction-neutral": numbers in RTL text use the RTL font etc., whereas numbers in LTR text use the LTR settings. This behavior is perfectly reasonable, however when exporting to MS-Word I encounter the problem described below. In Word, numbers can have a direction which is independent of the surrounding text: an LTR number in RTL text and vice-versa. The problem is then when Word opens a document (.doc or .rtf) saved by Writer, all numbers become LTR. This causes a number within a RTL paragraph to stick out, because now, in Word, it takes the LTR font, which is usually different. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
