Inventory of software which meets that description on target system:
- Spybot SD
- Windows Defender
- Avast Antivirus
The programs listed above were already installed and active prior to the
install
of OO.o 3.1 (previous release). The 3.1 install completed with no problem, so
was
apparently unaffected by the presence of these programs. This is according to
the
build book I maintain.
I tried the suggested workaround. I deactivated all of the above and confirmed
that I had successfully deactivated them. I performed a line-by-line review of
the
process tree and the list of running services to be sure all associated
processes
and services were successfully stopped.
When I repeated the install of 3.1.1, I was still able to reproduce the problem.
Based on the success of the 3.1 install in the presence of these programs, and
based on the failure of the 3.1.1 install in their absence, I doubt that a
virus
scanner or other similar application is blocking the install.
