As you describe it:
- this issue is not specific to Writer but appears in all components (Open
dialog)
- This only happens with the OOo native Open dialog
- The \\.\ is a not really "typical" but AFAIK corresponds to a standard "\\..."
(machine) + ".\" (current) to express "root" on Windows.
So that we cannot speak about a bug, an error here but something that is in
worst case not really intuitive but *correct*.
And we cannot speak about "Incorrect display of drive number for partition" (I
changed the title accordingly)
Question: what should the path text show when reaching the "root"?
