Connect them with a connector. 3. Copy/paste this connector. 4. Reconnect both ends of the new connector on other points of the boxes without deselecting it. 5. Deselect the new connector. 6. Try to select it again. Result: it can't be selected Workaround: It helps to move one of the boxes a bit.
