In the original the LineJoins worked due to contained decomposed line geometry. In the version with FatLine actions, all linejoins get rounded. The export (eos2met.cxx) shows some support for LineInfo (used in METWriter::METSetAndPushLineInfo), but i found NO documentation about MET on the net anymore. Does someone have infos...? It may be that it supports LineJoin, so it would be nice to evtl. use it. OTOH we would also need to import that and the format is not used by anyone anymore (when looking in the web, we are the onnly app mentioned to be able to read it nowadays (!))...
