------- Additional comments from [email protected] Thu Oct 22 17:10:49 +0000 2009 ------- I ran into this problem several times, and have confirmed it in a blank spreadsheet after a clean reboot and nothing running. When I use a formula (simple: in A2 I enter A1+1 where A1 is 1) and copy down for many lines, then attempt to get it to convert to values (copy, paste special, uncheck all but text and numbers) and then paste, the program seems to go into a permanent loop - uses 99% of the CPU, the program fails to respond. I net the program run overnight (7 hours) and it was still at 99% of CPU use, no response in the morning. Thought you folks might like to know - otherwise, I converted the entire family from Office to OpenOffice about two months ago, and after some "hey, stuff moved" complaints in the first few days, no one's the wiser.
