To solve your issue to create a new style for pre-formatted text you can and
should create a graphics style.

This is simple, either select the graphic styles in the stylist ("Styles and
Formatting" floater ) and use "new" from the context menu.

Or create a new text shape (do not use a title or outline shape from one of the
presentation layouts, use the text tool with the T icon ). Put some text in it,
press esc. and then format as you like it using the toolbars.

Open up the stylist with F11 if it is not yet open, the 'Default' graphic style
should be selected. Use the "New Style from Selection" button at the top right
of the stylist.

If this does not help you please explain why you thing you can't work with a
graphic style and need a presentation style.
