as far as i know, a clipboard may have several versions - e.g. one with
formatting and
it's 'plain text' equivalent. so 'plain text' version shouldn't contain hidden
text
(if 'unprintable characters' ain't shown).

if Qt can do this multiplatform, OOo should be able to do it too.
