hi eberlein,
the files you attached are actually StarOffice binary format files, despite
their ".ots" suffix (which would suggest ODF).
the DocumentProperties service does not support loading from/storing to
StarOffice binary files; it only supports ODF and OOo XML format.
half a year ago, i would have thought i'd add support for that some time, but
recently i became aware that the "binfilter" component that is responsible for
StarOffice binary format import/export is very likely to be removed in a OOo 3.x
release soon, so of course i'm not wasting my time with that now.
so i am closing this issue as WONTFIX.
