------- Additional comments from [email protected] Sat Nov 14 14:59:22 +0000 2009 ------- Overview: 1) I opened a .ppx file created by MS Powerpoint 2007 and reproduced the problem on input, not on save 2) I opened a .ppt file created by MS Powerpoint 2007 and could not repeat the problem. 3) Saving the file using Impress Save As in powerpoint format, did not create the issue, the issue existed when the files were opened. Detailed Steps are below: Steps to Repeat the problem 1) Open 105879MS_PPX_format.pptx in microsoft presentation 2007 2) check notes view to verify the images & text are displayed in MS Powerpoint 2007, close file. 3) Open Impress by double clicking on OOo-dev Impress in start menu 4) File-> 105879MS_PPX_format.pptx (expect to see the normal view) 3) View -> Notes Page (images are not present and text is down one side) and then go back to normal page 5) File -> Save As 6) Enter a file name and chose file type: Microsoft Presentation ppt 97/200/XP 7) close file and re-open saved file 8) Check the Notes page by using View-> Notes Page Expected Result The notes pages for the powerpoint file appears in both applications. actual result The notes pages view in Impress show blank pages without images or text. The text can be seen outside the page in a column.
