------- Additional comments from [email protected] Wed Nov 18 20:00:21 +0000 2009 ------- I have an Intel i7 @ 4 GHz, 12GB Ram, OCZ solid state disk, Nvidia GTX 285 video card, Win XP x64. Editing in OO Impress 3.1.1 (build: 9420) is slow as anything. The menus frequently load very slowly, the font color selector is slow (>5 sec to load the dialog after clicking). It plays video fine & slide show is reasonable, but still not quick. This is a large presentation (23 MB right now), but, it was still slow when I was just building it. Once the dialogs load the first time, they can be reloaded quickly. However, if you want a minute or so, it goes back to extremely slow behavior. It looks like the application data is being swapped out of memory. I saw a bug report relating to shared printing, and, my shared printer is diabled with no improvement.
