In the combination of the Debian version I reproduce the crash. In the combination of the vanilla version I get the message: "Can't connect to local mysql server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' SQLStatus:HY000, Fehlercode 2002. under 32 bit (Sid) I saw the same behaviour I did another Test. I use the openOffice.org version from Debian and the Connector from upstream and the i got the message described above.
