Correcting what you explained.
What you want is a drop caps which goes over multiple paragraphs.
Note: a paragraph might consist of 1 line, it will remain a paragraph. Your
example shows 3 paragraphs (ended with paragraph marks) of 1 line each.
In this context, yes, the drop caps cannot work on multiple paragraphs.
Now if you would have ended every line with a *line*-break (Shift+Enter) you
would have 1 paragraph made of 3 broken lines and the drop caps would work the
way you expect it (at least as a visual effect).
Note 2: when reporting here bugs and features, makes sure to have the latest
build. 3.0 is far too old!
