cmc->sb: checking external/gcc3_specific I see that its not used on macosx, i.e.
.IF "$(OS)"!="MACOSX"
.ENDIF

So configure test should basically be made Linux only. The warning is harmless
when it's happening on platforms that aren't making use of libgcc_s.so.1. I'll
open a new bug for that as issue 107566.
