I think I've figured out what is going on here. When I say that the page has
only 8 rows instead of 9, the size of the page is automatically re-defined. My
(postscript) printer then asserts its bottom margin, and voila!, the bottom half
of the last line is chopped off.
This automatic re-definition of the sheet size is the crux of the matter.
Obviously this is often what is wanted, but if you simply want to leave the last
row of labels unused (e.g., because of this bottom margin problem), then it is
wrong. Ideally there would be an option to specify the sheet size independently
of whatever labels are (defined to be) on it.
