------- Additional comments from [email protected] Sun Jan 10 13:24:24 +0000 2010 ------- When installing OO, the installer declares that it will be installing to directory "C:\Program Files". It's lying - it installs to ANOTHER directory, one that it's not telling me - "C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 3". Because it told me that it was installing to just "C:\Program Files", I corrected the install path to be "C:\Program Files\OpenOffice", and so OO then installed to.... NOT where I told it, but to "C:\Program Files\OpenOffice\OpenOffice.org 3". If you're gonna declare an install path to the user, and to allow the user to adjust it according to their requirements, then would you PLEASE actually do it properly, and say PRECISELY where OO will be installing to. AND allow the user to specify the install path without OO then changing/adding to it. All other Windows programs installation routines do this, why doesn't OO? Correcting this installation problem will prevent lots of blood pressure as I install OO, and then have to un-install it 'cos it's gone in the wrong place, and then install it all over again!
