"Insert > Names > [fill out a name]" followed by Save followed by Exit
results in the name being converted to lower case. If the value of the
name (either the path-name part, or the field-name) contains upper case,
it is forced to lower-case, causing subsequent opens of the relevant
spreadsheet-links to fail.

I don't see where to put an attachment, sorry, but I have one:
time-sheet with links to corporate category/names/numbers sheet.
Both the name fields themselves (e.g., AccountNumber) and the
spreadsheet names and paths (e.g.
file:///home/coats/Admin/timesheets_current/BAMS_reference_1109.xls) are mixed
case.

Works fine with OOo 3.0 and 3.0.1.

With OOo 3.1.1 x86_64 from Mandriva, links work on a first opening.
Subsequent openings have broken links to external sheets, and upon
examination, the values from "Insert > Names" have been converted
from mixed- to lower-case, ostensibly causing the failure.

Same behavior with OOo 3.1.1 x86_64 and OOo 3.1.1 x86 (32bit)
directly downloaded from OOo. Had to revert to OOo 3.0.1 to get
things working again.

Is it a "Save" bug or an "Insert>Names" bug? The fact that the
broken links don't show up until the second time it was opened in
OOo 3.1.1 suggests the former...
