I am sorry to comment on this again. But using the cmd+shift+left / right arrow
marks wordwise, NOT
to the beginning of a line.
The Apple Human Interface Guideline states that
cmd+shift+left/right: "Extend selection to the previous semantic unit,
typically the beginning/end of
the current line."
and that
alt+shift+left/right: "Extend selection to the beginning/end of the current
word, then to the
beginning/end of the previous/next word."
In OOo these two keyboard shortcuts behave the same way. This may sound a
little petty minded, but
these to keystroke combinations are beneath the most used ones. And this
behavior really slows me
down in my daily work with the writer.
