as you suggested, I tried on version 3.1.1 and it works.
This version seems to be really much more reliable on deletind and copying large
amount of cells.
As I understood trying to upgrade from inside, last version was also not able to
simply upgrade and this was the reason I was still using version 3.1.0.
I manually upgraded.
(I will check for upgrades before issueing next time)
