I find myself compelled to use this in order to operate reasonably effectively. I expect that jdpipe is correct that fityk (in common with other singe purpose mathematical tools) is capable, flexible, and easy to use in isolation. The rub is that, however technically capable such isolated tools may be, any need for multiple interfaces for different purposes means that they are in no way a substitute for an integrated tool - provided that the integrated tool is adequate for the requirement.
