Hi,

that the directory "OpenOffice.org 3" cannot be changed was introduced with
OpenOffice.org 3.0 because of the new 3-layer technique, in which several
different directories should be created below the directory determined by the
user. Because nowadays all the content is created below "OpenOffice.org 3" and
not in directories located next to it, there is no reason, that "OpenOffice.org
3" should not be changeable in the future. I already have tasks (i92977 and
i93022) for this and also prefer the solution, that the full path

c:\program files\OpenOffice.org 3

can be changed by the user. This is the standard for most other programs. But
you should keep in mind, that you cannot influence all the directories below
"OpenOffice.org 3". So there can be many other directories containing a dot are
a white space. And I am sure, that most other big applications also use dots and
white spaces. So I would not say, that this is a severe bug.

Accepting your issue, because of the new reasons you mention.
