------- Additional comments from [email protected] Fri Feb 12 19:59:22 +0000 2010 ------- Let's say I'm writing an article on OOo Writer. I want to use em-dashes around a parenthetical phrase, like so: Writer--still the better value--does have a small problem with word completion. where the doubled ascii hyphens represent em-dash characters. After I type the above sentence, Writer starts offering "Writer--still" as a completion every time I type "Wri"--very distracting. I check the word completion list, under Tools > AutoCorrect Options > Word Completion, and see that Writer has collected two unusual "words": Writer--still and value--does. I'm no writer, but as far as I know, there is no situation where an em-dash acts as part of a word as a plain hyphen may do. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
