------- Additional comments from [email protected] Sat Feb 13 16:32:39 +0000 2010 ------- The problem has arisen on 1 of 3 PC's I have successfully loaded v3.2 onto an EP laptop and onto a desk top running Windows 7. But when I came to load it onto a 2nd PC running Windows 7 it failed to load and produced roughly the same error each time. "Internal error 2329, 32, C:config.msi\237cd2.rbf" The numbers after the last slash and before the ".rbf" seem to change from time to time the most recent version being ...\2acc651.rbf the installation runs fine initially, gets past the point where the internet thank you for using Open Office.org opens and then about 3 secs later the error comes up and the installation backs out. Unfortunately when it restored the original v3.1 instalation it did not do so properly and it would not run. Neither could I re load version 3.1. I have since tried using uninstall to uninstall the program but taht too failed with a similar error message and reinstalled. But not to a working model I then ran the current version of Windows install cleanup and while that removed the record of the program being loaded, when I ran the install for v 3.2 again the same error occoured. I then removed all of the files in the program directory for Open Office .Org manually and ran regedit and removed all references ot the program from the registry files. I re ran the installation for versions 3.2, 3.1, and 2.4 all failed with similar error messages. I also attempted to load the versions without Java included in the packages but the same result. I tried the Oxygen Office professional3.1.1 version of Open Office.org but got a message to remove the quick start up and open office.org 3.1. Identified the file fragments and re ran the oxygen office install got past the initial hurdle but then at about the same point of loading the OpenOffice.Org 3.1.1 component got the same error message as for the other versions of Op-en Office.Org. I am guessing config.msi is finding a trace of Open Office.org is a dll file but am not all that expert at these things and would not know where to start looking. I can follow instructions but that is it. I have been using OpenOffice.Orgl at home as my sole productivity suite for years but unless a solution can be found to this problem am going to be forced to buy MS Office. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
