I agree that doing one left click (press and release) should keep the pop-up
menu open like in writer.
The right-click is the context menu, which is also available in writer. In
writer it can only be opened in the text area, not in the area where the
author/date info is or in the area of the pop-up button. In impress you can
currently use the context menu also in the area of the pop-up button. Since this
seems to confuse people I will remove it so it behaves all in all like in the
writer module.
