I did the locale data changes mentioned in comments above.
Please note that the dictionary needs to indicate that it supports plt-MG
instead of mg-MG. Also, the old (OOo2.4) simple dictionary list is not supported
anymore, dictionaries are now to be installed as extensions, see
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Extension_Dictionaries
