------- Additional comments from [email protected] Fri Feb 26 23:00:16 +0000 2010 ------- I have some further information for you...A friend called this evening who is a bit of a cumputer wizard and I was telling him about all the trouble I was having trying to install OpenOffice. He asked me to try and install it and the usual box popped up saying "Please exit OpenOffice.org 3.1 and the OpenOffice.org 3.1 quickstarter before continue" I told him that I had downloaded CCLeaner and done two cleans of the drive and register. He first removed all files containing the words "OpenOffice" and "OOo" He then moved to the start button and typed "regedit" in a box and started to search a load of files, inside one of the files he found to more files both appertaining to OpenOffice.org which he deleted, then we downloaded Open Office again and this time it installed. So to anyone who has this problem the culprit files are in your registery and CCLeaner does not see them as being junk files so does not delete them. Hope this helps anyone still having problems.
