I cannot see the problem: 0:hidden is formatted with "Commentchar" and is red,
while 1:plain is default and black... as it is expressed in the content.xml.
Did you attach the correct sample. This one here looks the same in OOo 3.1,
3.1.1 and 3.2 on my XP.
