Start->ControlCenter->Display->Appearance->Effects->
the smooth method wasn't checked at all

"use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts:"

there is two choices under it: standard and clear-type which has less effect.

choosing standard solved my issue


another thing on windows 7:
before I report I tested OOo on windows 7 and the same problem was there. fixing
it require disabling the clear-type from display setting in control panel or
from the fonts setting.

if all the machine with windows 7 has clear-type enabled by default would that
mean that OOo anti-aliasing will not work until it get disabled?

disabling clear-type has effected windows fonts in bad way but made OOo fonts
look better.

the issue effects all OOo programs
