------- Additional comments from methylene_b...@openoffice.org Fri Mar 5 12:44:33 +0000 2010 ------- When selecting a format for a date field, the preview is set to display variations of December 31, 1999. This chosen example date does not distinguish between MMMM DD, YYYY and MMMM D, YYYY because 31 contains two-digits. This is particularly disadvantageous in countries other than the Unites States where single-digit days are expressed in a two-digit form with a leading zero. For example: D MMMM YYYY = 5 April 1999 (31 December 1999) DD MMMM YYYY = 05 April 1999 (31 December 1999) This also results in apparent redundant previews (e.g. 12/31/99) of date fields: M/D/YY = 12/31/99 (using April 5, 1999 = 4/5/99) MM/DD/YY = 12/31/99 (using April 5, 1999 = 04/05/99) Requested fix: change 31 to a single-digit day to reflect leading zero in preview. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
