------- Additional comments from [email protected] Mon Mar 8 09:19:47 +0000 2010 ------- When the filename of your spreadsheet contains a Umlaut (ä, ö, ü) you won´t be able to copy & paste content from Calc as an OLE object. Try this: (1) Create a new spreadsheet. (2) Save as... Filename "test.ods" (3) Select some range in the spreadsheet and copy (ctrl+c) (4) Create a text document in Writer. (5) Press ctrl+shift+v or choose Edit | Paste Special... (6) Select "calc8" and paste the object. Everything´s fine so far. Now try this: (2) Save the spreadsheet as "täst.ods" (3) Select some range in the spreadsheet and copy (ctrl+c) (4) Create a text document in Writer. (5) Press ctrl+shift+v or choose Edit | Paste Special... (6) No chance to select "calc8" You are not able to paste an OLE object.
