After downloading and unpacking the Open Office 3.2 version and starting install
to my PROGRAMS folder for Open Office, the installer starts, then produces an
error message saying that running copy of OO3.3 must be closed before installing
OO3.2. The install then terminates without installing the software. This is a
single-user system attached to a local area network. All program execution is
within the Dell Optiplex 755 workstation, not on network. I have tried doing a
warm restart of the unit, with no change in results. I downloaded the install
today (3/8/2010) and redid the download after the first abend. I am uncertain as
to the version ID above, as the installer does not contain any identification
beyond the 3.2 version ID.
